AI isn’t making leadership faster.
It’s exposing where it never was.
We like the story: AI accelerates everything.
And it does—analysis, options, decisions.
But here’s the uncomfortable truth:
AI doesn’t remove friction.
It reveals where it already exists.
The bottleneck was never information.
It’s the system.
AI gives fast answers.
Leadership still requires:
alignment trust risk absorption
And that takes time.
So the real dilemma isn’t slow leadership vs fast AI.
It’s a polarity.
Fast answers ↔ Slow alignment
Not a problem to solve.
A tension to manage.
And here’s the real issue:
Most leaders don’t even see it as a polarity.
They try to “fix” it:
push speed → create resistance slow down → miss momentum
We’re not getting faster.
We’re getting misaligned faster.
This is a maturity shift:
From choosing sides
→ to managing tension
From answers
→ to integration
Because:
A decision is only real when the system can live with its consequences.
AI accelerates answers.
Leadership still has to earn alignment.
